Signs of a Failing Septic System

• Slow draining toilets, sinks, or bathtubs.
• Sewage odors near the septic tank or field.
• Sewage/water back up into the home.
• Sewage breakout/standing water in the field.

If toilets or fixtures are draining slowly, check your service records to determine the last time your septic tank was pumped. Problems related to septic systems can be difficult to analyze. If you are experiencing problems with your system, we will be happy to assist you.

Septic System Failure

If it has been determined that your septic field has failed and needs to be replaced, you must determine if sewer hook-up is available in your area. You can get this information by contacting your local health department.

If sewer hook-up is not available, an application & perk test must be performed to determine the specifications for a new septic field. We can assist you in this process. We will apply for the "permit" with your local health department and then perform the "perk test" under the Health Department's supervision. Once this process is complete, you will receive the "perk test/permit" from the Health Department. It will provide the requirements for a new septic field. These specifications are required to achieve any proposal for field replacement.

Please contact us for pricing on an application for permit/perk tests.
