What does it mean to have my system shot with a camera?

Having your system shot with a camera is one of the most effective ways of determining where you septic tank is located, however, it is also the most expensive route you can go, next to having your entire backyard excavated up (which we do not recommend).

The main piece of equipment used to camera the lines and tank looks just like a plumbers snake, but has a camera on the end of it. A toilet from one of the inside facilities must be removed in order to have this procedure performed. The snake is fed through the lines in your home, the camera on the end of the snake sends back live images of your lines to a monitor that is attached to the other end of the snake.

Brendel's FAQsWith this monitor, not only can we tell the condition of your lines, we can see if little Johnny has been busy flushing items in your absence, or if there are other types of obstructions in the line. If the camera finds no obstructions and is able to make your tank, it will give an exact location withing 3 inches. So the variance is very limited, and the benefit of the camera is it enables you to see, live, what is going on inside your lines, and helps to advert making costly changes to your home.

We can also make a video of the procedure which you can then include in your home records and use as part of your sales tools when selling the home to the next perspective homeowner. If you are interested in having this procedure done, please call our offices, and arrangements will be made.
